Look at that cute wet nose!!  Maximus does not like to have his picture taken, at all. He usually looks away as soon as he sees a camera {or phone} pointed his way. I had to coax him with a T-R-E-A-T just to get this shot. The flash unexpectedly went off and practically blinded him which is why his eyes look so bright. He recovered quickly and was able to eat his treat with gusto.

Maximus has been in our family since 2005 and I love every moment he’s around. Just like any other member of our family, Maximus is responsible for completing a few chores. In order to earn his keep, Maximus is responsible for completing the following tasks:

  • When a member of the family comes home, greet him or her with tail wags, doggie kisses, and happy dances.
  • When one of our indoor cats tries to run out the door, “herd” them back into the house.
  • When someone is not feeling well, give them snuggles and an extra doses of cuteness.
  • “Clean up” the food crumbs that are accidentally dropped on the floor.
  • Alert the family when someone is knocking on the front door {especially if it’s the postal carrier}.
  • Provide unconditional love, on a regular basis.

As you can see, Maximus is a very important member of our household and without him, those all important tasks listed above would not be completed. He’s not just a dog, he’s a member of our family. I love it when a company understands how important our pets are. Personally, it makes me respect that brand even more. For example, Subaru’s Dog Tested. Dog Approved.™ vehicles…. I love it!!

The dog in this 30 second video reminds me of Maximus in so many ways.

Dogs and Subaru and a few distractions {meow}!

Cute isn’t it? I showed this 20 second “eye candy” video to Maximus and he watched it with his head turned to the side on high alert!

In my next Subaru post, I’ll introduce you to a dog {and human} friendly Facebook app that will let you have some interactive fun with your pet’s photo! Until next time, I’m wishing you tail wags and doggie kisses!

Disclosure:  This post is sponsored by Subaru. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about the Dog Tested. Dog Approved.™ campaign, but Saving More Than Me only shares news for things we support.

  6. These sound like the chores my dogs complete. Except one seems to think she should clean the crumbs off the counter too.
