So what is Saving More Than Me giving away for this event?

A brand new Rubbermaid LunchBlox™ Sandwich Kit AND two coupons for any FREE frozen seafood item from Gorton’s {ARV $33}!!

The Rubbermaid LunchBlox™ Sandwich Kit is an exciting addition to the Rubbermaid line of products! The kit makes packing lunch easier than ever.

The LunchBlox™ Sandwich Kit contains modular containers that snap together in multiple configurations to efficiently use the space in your lunch box or bag.  Each Sandwich Kit includes two snack containers, one side container, one sandwich container, and one medium blue ice.

Let’s have a look at the product:

After using this kit for over a month, I have a few thoughts. To make it easier, I’m going to list them as Pro’s and Con’s {I like lists, what can I say ;)}.

Pro’s

  1. Definitely a lunch box space saver.
  2. Durable. I washed my kit in the dishwasher well over 20 times and it held up very well.
  3. BPA free!
  4. Microwave safe. My kit did not change shapes after microwave use {like some plastic containers do}.
  5. No food stains. The inside of the kit did not change colors {spaghetti—>enough said}.
  6. Lids are easy to snap on and snap off.
  7. The Blue Ice pack kept items cool.
  8. The kit is great for controlling portion sizes.
  9. Helps the environment because you don’t need to use separate plastic baggies, etc.,
  10. Price {retails for $12.99 or less}. Coupons for the kit can also be found here.

Con’s {and suggestions}

  1. The LunchBlox™ Sandwich Kit containers do not always stay attached if you use the kit in a lunchbox that’s significantly bigger {than the kit}. Suggestion—->You may want to consider investing in the Rubbermaid LunchBlox Lunch Bag specifically built to hold this kit. At no more than $12, it’s a steal and your kit is sure to stay attached.
  2. The number of containers and lids in this kit could be overwhelming for a young child. I definitely recommend that this kit be used by children who have the mental capacity and physical dexterity required to open this kit.
  3. The lids can be easily misplaced or lost if used at a daycare or school. Suggestion—–>I recommend labeling the containers and the lids with your child’s name.
  4. Although the Blue Ice pack kept my items cool, it would be nice to be able to attach another pack at the bottom of the kit.

Overall, I am giving the LunchBlox™ Sandwich Kit 4.5 stars out of 5. It is definitely worth the investment.

The LunchBlox Sandwich Kit is currently available for purchase at Rubbermaid.com, Target,

Kmart, Kroger, Safeway, Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie, HEB, other grocery stores and select Wal-Mart stores.
