Monet’s Paintings Are Things I Love

Do you recognize the super-famous painting posted above? It’s titled “Japanese Bridge at Giverny” by Claude Monet. Monet is one of my favorite artists. There’s something about his use of color and nature, that draws me in. Monet’s works are definitely in the category of things I love.

Monet’s Paintings

In my home, I have several Monet paintings {copies of course} gracing my walls. I have “Poppies” hung in my living room.

The color of the poppies matches a similar color found in my area rug while the green blends perfectly with the earth-based tones in my living room.

I have several more Monet art prints that I would like to hang up but they all require a frame. Until recently, cost has prohibited me from framing these prints but I was able to locate an online seller of wholesale poster frames. I can’t wait to order my frames and hang my Monet’s!

Here is one of the Monet prints I own that’s waiting for a frame. It’s titled “The Artist’s Garden”. I will probably hang this one in my living room as well. This particular painting was completed in the year 1873—-talk about timeless, and classic.

I also own “Madame Monet and son” and it too is waiting for a frame. This particular piece will probably end up in one of the bedrooms {probably my bedroom ;)}. I love how realistic the grass, shadows, and clouds appear. Don’t you?

So many Monet’s….so little time, and too little wall space. If you’re interested in seeing more of Monet’s work, please visit my Monet board on Pinterest.

Do you have a favorite painter or artist? If so, I’d love to hear about it.
