
This is one of my daughter’s favorite meals which is great because this recipe is so easy. The ingredients can be doubled for a larger family or if you have guests.
| Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff |
- 1.5 lbs of stew beef {can use inexpensive cut of meat}
- 1 envelope of onion soup mix
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 cup of ketchup {2 oz}
- pepper {I use about 1 tbsp}
- mushrooms {fresh or canned} I use 2 small cans of mushrooms
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 1 bag of egg noodles
- Cut beef into approximately 1 inch sized pieces
- If desired, place raw meat into skillet and brown with olive oil
- Place meat in slow cooker
- In a large bowl, combine onion soup mix, ketchup, mushroom soup, pepper
- Mix until all ingredients are combined; pour over meat
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours {meat should be tender}
- Add mushrooms midway through cooking time. You can also add them at the beginning if you won’t be home.
- Add sour cream to slow cooker last hour of cooking time {mix well}.
- Serve over hot buttered egg noodles.
