Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff Recipe—-Easy and Delicious!

This is one of my daughter’s favorite meals which is great because this recipe is so easy. The ingredients can be doubled for a larger family or if you have guests.¬†


Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Serves: 4-6
  • 1.5 lbs of stew beef {can use inexpensive cut of meat}
  • 1 envelope of onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup {2 oz}
  • pepper {I use about 1 tbsp}
  • mushrooms {fresh or canned} I use 2 small cans of mushrooms
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 bag of egg noodles
  1. Cut beef into approximately 1 inch sized pieces
  2. If desired, place raw meat into skillet and brown with olive oil
  3. Place meat in slow cooker
  4. In a large bowl, combine onion soup mix, ketchup, mushroom soup, pepper
  5. Mix until all ingredients are combined; pour over meat
  6. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours {meat should be tender}
  7. Add mushrooms midway through cooking time. You can also add them at the beginning if you won’t be home.
  8. Add sour cream to slow cooker last hour of cooking time {mix well}.
  9. Serve over hot buttered egg noodles.
