We are huge milk drinkers in my house and we easily go through 2-3 gallons of milk a week. We all don’t drink (or like) the same type of milk either. I have to purchase whole milk, low fat milk, milk for the lactose intolerant, and chocolate milk. Whew! When I was given the opportunity to review Over the Moon milk, I was pleased to learn that they offer a variety of milk——–>
Fat Free Milk
1% Lowfat Milk
Fat Free Chocolate Milk
Over the Moon milk has 34% more bone-building calcium and 37% more protein than regular milk. Over the Moon milk also contains the very important Vitamin D (try saying that fast 3 times).
For my review, I tried the Fat Free Chocolate Milk (the words fat free and chocolate– together—- make me happy) and the 1% Lowfat Milk. I was very happy to see “Our Farmers Pledge” on the carton because that means Over the Moon milks do not contain artificial growth hormones. I don’t know about you but I don’t need any hormones in my milk.
I was very surprised by the taste of the low fat and fat free milk(s). Neither had that “something is missing taste” that I often experience with reduced fat milk. In fact, it was just the opposite. Both milks were very flavorful, creamy, and fresh tasting—->downright delicious! I’m wondering if this is why I had to go to three different grocery stores to find Over the Moon in stock. One store associate advised me that they have difficulty keeping it in stock because it sells so quickly.
So how is Over the Moon Chocolate milk different than other chocolate milks? Just look at the difference.
