My Impressions:

This is the third book written by Susan May Warren that I have read and reviewed. I loved the first two {The Shadow Of Your Smile and Baby, It’s Cold Outside} and I loved this one as well. Susan’s knowledge of the time period, along with her descriptive imagery, made me feel as if I were experiencing what Lilly and Rosie experienced in the fabulous setting of the roaring 20′s. Lilly and Rosie’s journeys are so unpredictable that you take delight in turning each page and then you find that you can’t put the book down! The maturation of Lilly and Rosie is the core storyline in this book and I was pleased to see that Susan did not take a “cookie-cutter” approach with these two. In other words, this book was the least bit predictable and in my opinion, this is one of the reasons I consider Susan a gifted author. I am giving the Baroness five out of five stars!

Interesting book!  I love historical fiction and usually read things from the Renaissance or as late as the 18th century…….maybe this will be my next period!
